What's on the blog?

This blog is all about positivity, reconnecting with food and adopting a growth mindset. 

 

Every week I publish a review of a recipe from one of the books I own, along with a mini review of the book, evaluation of how the recipe turned out, rough costs per serving and nutritional information. From time to time I might recommend wine pairings for meals. I'll signpost you to where you can find each book I use, as well as providing a brief note of how I came to own them (if there's a good story - normally it's just an impulse because the book looks pretty!). 

All recipes recorded here, while based on the original author's content, are adapted and written in a way that I find easy to follow - this is essentially an online personal recipe collection and I hope you enjoy reading it and find my notes useful. 

I'm not a professional chef by any stretch of the imagination, just a normal girl living a busy life and trying to eat good food and put books to use that would otherwise gather dust! 

Expect occasional fitness, mental wellbeing and reflective content too. 

I may reference certain products and stores, however this is purely anecdotal or for light comedy purposes and there's no paid product placement.
